About Finding Connection with Adoption Support Kinship

About ASK – Adoption Support Kinship

Adoption Support Kinship (ASK) is a community-based, volunteer-run organization offering compassionate support to individuals affected by adoption and fostering. We specialize in assisting with the search and reunion process. We offer both practical tools and emotional guidance. Our support is provided in a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment.

At ASK, we offer compassionate, knowledgeable support and information to all members of the adoption community. Our services include:

  • Search assistance for adult adoptees, first relatives, adoptive relatives, and fostered individuals
  • Guidance and support for those considering or beginning the search process
  • Support throughout the reunion journey, including those preparing for reunion and navigating its ongoing emotional complexities
  • Compassionate support for individuals for whom reunion is not possible or desired
  • Assistance for adoptive relatives and others seeking advice on how to support loved ones during the search and reunion process
  • Educational resources on the emotional and psychological impact of adoption on adoptees and first relatives

Whatever your path, you are welcome here.

We help members explore both the emotional and practical aspects of search and reunion. We offer care and respect for each unique story. All members of the adoption community are treated with dignity, compassion, and inclusion.

We welcome adult adoptees, first relatives, adoptive and foster relatives. We also welcome fostered individuals and all those with a personal or professional interest in adoption.
